BRIDGE

WHEN:
RUBBER BRIDGE: Wednesdays, at 1:15 – 3:00 pm. and Wednesdays, 12:30 – 1:10 pm, Sumner Clarren usually conducts an informal class on bridge bidding and play.
Two round robin tournaments are played throughout the year, contact Sumner Clarren for more information.
DUPLICATE BRIDGE: Mondays, 1:30 – 4:00 pm in the Fireplace Room
DETAILS: The Broadmead Bridge Committee makes bridge accessible to all. Courses are offered periodically.
CANASTA

MAH-JONGG

DETAILS: Mah Jongg is open to all residents. Residents interested in learning to play will be loaned a book about the game, next invited to watch the play and then join in. New members are welcome. The American, or Western, version of this ancient Chinese game is played. The game is played with a set of 152 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. It is commonly played by four players at a table.

MEXICAN TRAIN DOMINOES

DETAILS: Be the first player to get rid of all the dominoes in your hand. If you haven’t played before, we will be happy to teach you.

PICKLEBALL
ORGANIZER: Gene Swackhamer
WHERE: The pickleball court behind the Community Center
WHEN: Mon., Wed., Fri. at 10 am in the warmer months (if temperatures less than 90º); 2:00 pm in the cooler months (if temperatures greater than 40º); weather permitting, in all cases
DETAILS: The goal of this fast-growing sport is to get a little exercise and to have fun! All skill levels are welcome. Spectators are welcome, too. Participants take turns playing with different partners. This facilitates a social atmosphere and a sense of community, among the players, as well as the spectators.
